Dato' Muthukumar Ayarpadde | Executive Chairman

Dato MK, the Founder and Executive Chairman of MK Tron Group, began his entrepreneurial journey, at the age of 19, by establishing a commodity trading business in Malaysia. His business acumen, tenacity, perseverance, and above all, his passion for success, has propelled the group to grow from strength to strength over the years. Now, the group has presence in Malaysia, India, South Korea, Mexico and United Kingdom and under his able guidance has also diversified to new age sectors like healthcare, tech, digital apart from keeping focus on its core business segments of auto components and commodities.

He was awarded the Young Entrepreneur Award by GOPIO in 2004. He is also a member of the globally renowned and exclusive Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He was selected to take part in the Malaysia-India CEO Forum headed by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi where he was one of 40 CEOs selected from both countries.

Tan Sri Asmat Kamaluddin | Advisor

Tan Sri Asmat, aged 77, graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Economics. He also holds a Diploma in European Economic Integration from the University of Amsterdam.

Tan Sri Asmat has experience of over 35 years in various capacities in public service, and his last posting was the Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade & Industry Malaysia, a position he held since May 1992.

In the last five years prior to his retirement in 2001, Tan Sri Asmat was in the Board of Malaysia Technology Development Corporation, Multimedia Development Corporation, Malaysian Trade Development Corporation, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation and Perbadanan Johor.

Tan Sri Asmat serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Compugates Holdings Berhad and a member of the Board of Directors of Malayan Cement Berhad, companies listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Tan Sri Dr. Nik Nozrul Thani | Advisor

Tan Sri Dr. Nik, aged 62 years, graduated with LLB (Hons) from University of Buckingham, LLM from Queen Mary College, University of London and a PHD from School of Oriental & African Studies from University of London. In addition, he possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah Law and Practice (with distinction) from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He is a Fellow of Financial Services Institute Australia (Finsia).

He was a visiting Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School from 1996 to 1997 and a Chevening Fellow at Oxford University from 2004 to 2005. He is the Chairman and Senior Partner of Zaid Ibrahim & Co (ZICO), the largest law firm in Malaysia and a member of ZICO law, the premier ASEAN network with offices in all ASEAN countries. He is the Chairman of Malaysia Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC), T7 Global Berhad (formerly Tanjong Offshore Berhad), Sime Darby Oils International Limited, Malaysia-Singapore Business Council (MSBC) and currently Chairman of Appeals Committee of Bursa Malaysia. He is a director of several public companies & GLCs including Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Cagamas Holdings Berhad, MUFG Bank (M) Berhad and Sime Darby Plantation Berhad.

 G R V Rajan | Group CEO

With over four decades of rich experience, Rajan has served at various leadership roles and in pivotal positions in large and listed conglomerates in India before he was appointed as the Group CEO at MK Tron in 2015.

His professional journey in leadership roles included companies like Hinduja Foundries where he was the MD and CEO, TVS Energy where he served as the President of Renewable Projects and Sundaram Clayton where he headed the Die Casting Division and new Product Development.

He is an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad where he did his MBA and the Indian Institute of Technology where he completed his engineering degree.

 Uday Sinha | Group CFO

With over 18 years of diverse experience, Uday is an experienced strategy, operational turnaround, investing, financial & operational restructuring and projects’ execution professional having diverse experience in Metals & Mining, Energy and Auto-Comp sectors. He has domain expertise in turning-around highly leveraged, low working capital Cos & resolving its operational challenges. Has experience in setting up of large greenfield projects, fund raising and managing diverse group of stake holders.

Has spent over a decade at Tata Steel and five years in Edelweiss Special Situations and Distressed Fund before joining the MK Tron Group.

 Rajiv Navaloor | CEO India Ops

Rajiv brings over 28 years of experience in managing reputed multinational companies across the world in manufacturing automotive, electrical, electronics, medical and industrial products. With his rich experience in business management, operations, sales & marketing and exceptional people management skills, he is a proven leader in turnaround business performance.

He is an engineering graduate from PSB Singapore, prior to joining the Group, he was Managing Director of Lucy Electric India & cluster countries, Director of Delphi Connection Systems (India, China & Mexico plants), and other reputed MNCs like Haerter Stanztechnik GmbH (China), Kramski GmbH (Sri Lanka) and Classic Precision Tooling (Singapore).

Chong Tiean Leng | Head-BD & Special Projects

Chong, a Malaysian is 45 years old and have been with the group since 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from University of Hertfordshire.

Prior to joining the Mk Tron Group, Chong was handling sales for LB Aluminium Berhad. Chong has vast experience in all aspects of the metal industry. He has operational & sales experience both in brass and aluminium business.

Chong has strong customer relationship and business development skills.
